Human Rights Path

Fancy a getaway, nature and the outdoors? Feeling like walking alone, with your partner or with your family for the day or more, on foot or by bike? But on a gentle, easy route? The trail called “Human Rights Path” connecting Castres to Albi should meet your expectations!

A path across fields

Between Castres and Albi, come and stroll in the heart of the Tarn countryside on an old railroad track converted into a sandy track. This 42km long track with little elevation crosses the Tarn department on a North – South axis

The little extra

Different rest areas and parking lots are located along the way. You can therefore directly access the desired section of the trail, which multiplies the number the starting points.

Beautiful landscapes, dovecotes, wild flora … this trail is full of treasures! Venture off the beaten path and discover Castres, the magnificent medieval village of Lautrec, the bastide town of Réalmont and of course Albi and its marvelous episcopal city listed on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage register.
