Le Grenier de Rieussequel

Rieussequel embraces a simple way of life, centred around nature, peace and open space. Set at the foot of the Montagne Noire, this former farmstead has been carefully restored over the years and enjoys a surprisingly tranquil setting despite being close to the Mazamet-Béziers road. Just 200 metres away, the Passa Païs Greenway follows its shaded route towards the foothills of the Haut-Languedoc Regional Park. Whether you enjoy hiking, cycling or fishing, the surrounding area offers plenty to explore, from the trails of the Montagne Noire and the Saint-Peyres Lake to the landscapes leading towards the nearby Minervois vineyards. Mazamet, with its rich history and heritage, is only a few minutes away, while the Mediterranean coast can easily be reached for a day trip. Converted from the former hayloft of the farm, Le Grenier de Rieussequel has retained the charm of its past while offering modern comfort. Access is independent via the garden and a bright veranda equipped with a kitchenette, ideal for preparing a coffee or a light snack at any time. The guest room comfortably accommodates two guests:

• One double bed (160x200 cm) with private shower room and WC. During the warmer months, guests can enjoy the outdoor spaces at their own pace. The terrace is a lovely spot for breakfast with views of the mountains before heading out to explore the region. The shared outdoor swimming pool (8.5 x 5 m, depth from 1.10 m to 1.80 m, secured by fencing, a gate and a safety cover) is shared with guests staying in the two cottages on the property and provides a welcome place to cool off in summer. It is open from 10 am to 8 pm, from June to September (dates may vary). To complete the experience, Sylvie offers a friendly table d'hôtes by prior reservation, often featuring local produce and regional specialities.
