Perched on a rocky outcrop, in the highest part of Hautpoul village, the site is accessed by steps dug in the rock.
This scenic spot overlooks the plain and the town of Mazamet that extends along the Arnette river.
The Holy Virgin's statue was carried out by the sculptor Alos and was inaugurated in 1949. From the top of its 4m50, she watches over the town and its inhabitants.
