Mazamet owes its existence and development to the Arnette, the quality and strength of its tumultuous waters that descend the green slopes of the Black Mountain. Along its banks, through hills and forests, this tour will make you discover the industrial and human history that has developed over the centuries. As in a history book, 16 panels retrace the main elements of the exceptional adventure of delamination and tapestry that made the international reputation of Mazamet and its valley, but also other activities that from the MiddleAge developed along the stream, taking advantage of its energy and the purity of its water. After centuries of hectic life, the Arnette and its valley find today the tranquility and quality of a natural environment respected and preserved. This tour is the result of a partnership between the city of Mazamet, the Heritage Development Association of Mazamet and the Local Employment Mission.
