Developed by the Tarn Department, this project makes use of the right-of-way of the former railroad line built in 1869 between Rodez and Castelnaudary to transport passengers and coal from the mines of the Carmaux basin. The choice of materials and the care taken in maintaining the hedgerows are intended to preserve the natural character and rural atmosphere of this area. This greenway, a space with multiple uses, is a place to connect with the landscapes, flora, and fauna. Please respect the fragility of nature… Be mindful of the welcoming atmosphere of this space.
The starting point on the Albi side is in the town of Puygouzon, located on the RD71, 1.5 km from the Gamm Vert roundabout.
Sixteen parking lots along the route allow users to access it from various points.
