La Parulle hiking loop

Carved from schists, always dressed in lichens, mosses and ferns, it progresses in a fresh atmosphere mixed with river scents and humus scents. Near Burlats, the course leaves the Agout to climb a steep slope lined with oak, locust and maple woods. The trail then softens, turns around the hill of Carla on the right and plunges again into a valley. Under the cover of beautiful oak trees, the path is littered with pebbles torn from the red clays that arm the reliefs dominating the plain of Castres.The back of a hill again... The fields of Parulle free the horizon to the Pyrenees... splendid hedges of old oaks animate the landscape. Now on the hillside, the trail declines towards Tournemire. He soon found the «chemin des Fontaines» with its procession of small hedges and returned to the Barque.
